The heart of any organization’s history is in its records – items that officers, members, directors, staff, and volunteers have produced and compiled over the years. They provide unique testimony to the achievements of an organization. Documenting the history of our organization is important at every level. We must capture the milestones, moments, and lifetime of our organization from trophies, plaques, and pictures to restored artifacts and priceless keepsakes. The Historian’s purpose is to accurately record the accomplishments and significant events that occur on the national, department, district, and unit level during the course of her term.
