
Public Relations promotes who we are, what we do, and why we matter. It is done even when we do not know we are doing it. Good PR is achieved through the promotion of a positive image of the American Legion Auxiliary. It is not about doing what is best for ME, it is about doing what is best for WE.
The purpose of PR is to build brand loyalty to The American Legion Auxiliary in all available ways. What we say and what we do reflects on us as members of the Auxiliary. In our meetings, in public, what we do on social media where we identify ourselves as members of the Auxiliary, can and does reflect on the organization. If we don’t hold ourselves to a higher standard, we misrepresent our organization and our membership. As members we love the American Legion Auxiliary and this should show in everything we do and everything we say. Service Not Self.
